Paint for USS New York Model
Tamiya hull red paint was what was called for in the Hobby Boss instructions for this model, it needed a little thinning with alcohol, mixed well to a uniform color, and airbrushed smoothly without clogging and dried fast and uniformly without streaking.

It Welds Lexan as well as Styrene
This liquid attaches styrene model plastic parts together very well as well as Lexan seams for non-standard model display cases that would otherwise be very expensive to purchase. Excess Lexan pieces were attached with this liquid to make model name plates. Works extremely well and leaves no marks where there are no attached parts

The Decals From Hell
These decals were very upsetting to work with because they were so thin that they were difficult to slide off the decal sheet, were difficult to slide into position, and had a tendency to fold onto themselves. After numerous tries to unfold them by re-submerging them in water and then re-placing them on the model, they continued to resist positioning and resulted in their folding, rendering them useless. For this particular model there is an arrangement of decals that forms a rectangle to be placed on the top surface of each wing. Instead of there being one large rectangular decal for each wing, the modeller has eight individual decals to position precisely to form each rectangle in the proper location. Because of the problems mentioned above I decided it would be a waste of my time and would be very aggravating to attempt. So the model goes without them and I am very disappointed because I spent a lot of time air brushing the model with tri-colored camo.
