It's a shame these 5.1 in-a-box solutions didn't have traction. They are a terrific solution to a small living space and you don't want wires or speakers all over the place. Speaking of wires, I replaced the 6 cables running from my amp to the speakers with ONE TOS-Link cable. Pretty cool.
That said, the sound, while decent for it's size, will not overwhelm you in it's loudness. I have yet to hear a difference in the various settings and wish there was a way to defeat the DSP effects. They aren't that good. I end up using "Sports" for movies and "TV" for Pandora. Go figure.
At under $200, no tax or shipping it is a bargain. I would be less happy if I paid the original price of $500.
The power adapter I was using created 60Hz hum and made the unit unusable. I connected this baby up with my Microverb 4 and the hum magically disappeared! Awesome!!
