    The platter was listed as new and it is! The Glass Slipper of Philadelphia (the seller) mailed it out and it arrived more quickly than I dared to hope. Oh my goodness does this seller know how to pack an item. It even was wrapped in the funny papers. Perfect condition. Received it about 10 minutes ago and it is washed, dried and put on display. Thank you!
