That’s a little disappointing. To me, that makes the ring seem ‘cheap’. I looked at the ‘black background’ and was able to scraped the ‘paint’ off. Hopefully with time, the seal (USAF) will be more readable as the black paint, fades/comes off. As for now, I can live with it & happy with this purchase. Hope this helps others interested in purchasing.
