This excellent eBay seller promptly mailed this photo on a postcard of sheep grazing in a little village (or maybe a single farm) on an Alpine hillside that is on the northside of the Matterhorn outside of Zermatt. I remember getting off of the first train into Zermatt and I just kept walking through town and up onto a trail past places like this. These are the more organized, extensive, functional gardens I have ever seen. The upper gardens provided the produce needed for the household, but these lower gardens are both geometric & filled with symbols as well as being beautiful. I used to live in Reading for almost a half year back in the late 1960s and there were many times I rode my bicycle across this bridge (it was a 10 speed "pushbike").
