The River Pig is a finless porpoise which can be located in the Yangtz river. In addition to this, these blob-like animals are mostly found in the shallow waters of Chinese and Indian coasts. Unfortunately, these species are becoming more and more rare. Official statistics have recorded that the River Pig used to be 177 in numbers in 2006 while in 2012, only 91 of them are left. The alarming decrease have pushed the Chinese researchers to reveal that these finless porpoises are going to become extinct very soon. The main reasons for the rapid decrease are - water pollution and massive river traffic. Finless porpoise deaths have been caused by boat strikes and fishing gear accidents as well as the severe droughts caused by climate change...</p>
