The GH5 gives amazing value for its price and makes a great compact system for travel photography and videography. For me, the biggest advantage of this camera is its size and simply how light your setup can be. Paired with native stabilized lenses the GH5 can produce smooth gimbal-like shots (using the dual I.S feature) - so smooth that you mostly don't even have to use a monopod or a gimbal at all to get great cinematic footage. Considering this little beast can take 4k video at 60fps as smooth as butter is an incredible achievement by Panasonic. The GH5 shines when it comes to video, but it performs very well with still images as well. The biggest disadvantage I found so far is poor low-light performance. It's a micro 4/3 camera, and the small sensor struggles to capture enough light without proper lighting on the scene. Pushing the ISO up will work to some degree but quickly becomes very grainy and the footage just becomes unusable. This means that you really need to think about lighting when shooting indoors or at night so take a couple of lights with you if you can. To deal with low light situations, I recommend getting a speedbooster (I got one from viltrox) and a fast canon lens. The speedbooster gives you an extra stop of light and really improves the GH5's ability to shoot in darker situations. Overall, I cannot recommend this camera enough to anyone who needs a small yet powerful system camera for video.Vollständige Rezension lesen
