You just can’t go wrong with Opal sock yarns. I have solids and all sorts of multicolored yarns. I have never had a problem with this brand. It isn’t super soft silky yarn. That wouldn’t stand up to the punishment you put your sock in. It is a low to almost non pilling yarn. The colors never fade or run. They don’t promise this but. I have several skeins of the same color but different lot numbers and they are exactly the same. It could be a fluke, but with the attention to detail that this company provides, I doubt it. I have several pairs of socks that are worn weekly or bi-weekly that are 5-8 years old and still look new. No worn spots and no holes. They can be gently machine washed and dried low but for the longest lasting sock, hand wash or at least air dry flat. I added pictures of 3 socks. All have Opal sock yarn in part or fully. The purple striped/orange heel sock uses Opal Uni for heel, cuff, and toes and Opal Sinfonie der Träume, 9612. The dark purple socks use Opal Uni Black on the cuff and toe colorwork areas. The third sock uses Opal Uni Black and Opal Surprise 4065 for the slow color change yarn.Vollständige Rezension lesen
