Ob man wirklich eine Scherer am Gürtel braucht, muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden! Aber jedem der das möchte kann ich die Leatherman Raptor wärmstens empfehlen. Die Qualität und die Verarbeitung sind, wie bei Leatherman üblich, beeindruckend gut, alles ist perfekt durchdacht und funktioniert ohne Probleme. Ich konnte sie noch nicht mal annähernd an ihre Leistungsgrenze bringen. Der Preis wirkt zwar erst etwas teurer, die Raptor ist aber jeder Cent wert. Definitiv eine Kaufempfehlung für jeden der eine Schere am Mann oder auch an der Frau haben möchte, aber auch für die Werkzeugkasten ist sie eine sinnvolle Ergänzung.

Very very good pair of foldable scissors. Cuts though thick leather with ease, the groves on one side of the scissors makes the object stay in the jaws in the scissors. Can even cut through thin metal, like a penny. The raptor can be kept on a belt in three way: with the belt clip, unfolded in the holster and folded in the holster, very versatile. It is a bit heavy, not something you would like to walk around with in your pocket, but it is fine on a belt.

Ich habe dieses Leatherman-Tool leider nicht selbst in Benutzung, habe es allerdings in Augenschein genommen, bevor ich es an meine Freundin (eine Krankenschwester) verschenkt habe. Mein erster Eindruck war: Die Schere ist sehr stabil und scharf, das Werkzeug aber insgesamt im zusammengeklappten Zustand angenehm klein und leicht. Die zusätzlichen Tools, wie Ringschneider, Gurtschneider und Glasbrecher habe ich nicht ausprobiert, unterstelle aber, dass sie ihren Zweck erfüllen. Der ideale Aufbewahrungs- und Einsatzort ist wahrscheinlich das Kfz in Reichweite des Fahrers.

The Leatherman Raptor is probably the best trauma shears on the market. The price is a tad expensive for a pair of scissors. I guess I will tell in a couple of years, if the quality is really good.
