I've seen all of the Agatha Chistie movies, Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile (with my old friend Jon Finch), etc., yet somehow 'Evil Under the Sun' simply bewitches me for reasons I'm at a loss to explain. There's no pyrotechnics, no special effects, but the entire film is a joy to watch. The scenery is wonderful, the cast superb - especially Diana Rigg, Maggie Smith, and Roddy McDowell - and I swear you can almost feel the warmth of glorious Mediterranean sunshine throughout the entire film. Unusually for me, I've watched it three times since purchasing the DVD, and it gets better with each viewing. Without doubt I'll watch it again and enjoy a simply brilliant film.
