In general it seems ok. Some comments. Against:The menus seem to be not too easy to use. Battery lasts very little when talking. Exchange of batteries frequenty and can sometimes be everyday. Thats the reason why it comes with two batteries. Interface of cell programs with SD card seems not direct or has problems. Pros: Price very nice. Two batteries. I found beaty, and externally the quality of box seems high. Small, light.
I bought the CECT KA08 one month ago and was at first impressed by the small size-it looks like a mini iPhone. However, my fascination soon ended when I started using it. The reception was not bad, but the interface was horrible, specifically b/c it is so small. It comes with a mini stylus, which you will HAVE to use when texting. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE IF YOU WANT TO TEXT! It is absoutely HORRIBLE. Picture entry keys the size of a pinhead, and just imagine how difficult it is to text without the stylus. I used the backspace button the most, but b/c it's on the far-right side of the screen, I often times ended up selecting the adjacent key instead (how ironic!) It has no features that I need in a phone except maybe to answer and dial calls. But even navigating the address book is a chore that takes way too long. DURABILITY: Horrible! The screen broke after 3 days because I walked into a door with it in my pocket, and the side of the screen got cracked. At that point, I could only accept of reject phone calls-nothing else. The seller was happy to replace it (I upgraded to the I9+ instead for an additional $30, but even that is pretty bad). The KA08 size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 6 hours. Overall, I would NOT recommed this phone. It's good in novelty, but its applications are bordering on unbearable.Vollständige Rezension lesen
When I receive it I was happy because looks as nice and shinny as expected, the idea of one Smartphone with full touch screen plus full keyword in one cell was very exiting for me... the setup process was easy and fast (I already use Nokia phones for some time so the phone main layout was familiar and easy to learn)... now after few weeks of use I learn that you can't use the office application without buying the license... some time the screen suddenly gets frozen or just the cell reset it self... you can add a sort of nice free app (online nuvi store) but is better if you don't do it frequently because gets frozen... the GPS (one of my reasons to buy it) works fine but is hard to get your location, the 3D views as well as the maps are low quality and not up to date at all... the battery real working time is very low... in a bust day last around 6 to 8 hours... more over if you are using the phone or browsing internet and the battery is low also already death, you normally plug it to electrical outlet to continue using it while gets recharged it but you can't do it because supplied charge is not enough for both things... you need to wait at least half hour to be able to use it... for in/our call the phone works fine but some time took too much time to unlock and answer that you get your lost calls counter up... nice and shinny smart phone but not really reliable... maybe the mini on the name is telling something itselfVollständige Rezension lesen
Design - In my opinion the N97 looks similar to the iPhone, just a little chunkier but overall smaller in size. The exact measurements are 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9 mm (18.25 mm at thickest point) and it weights 150g including the battery. In my opinion the phone is a little too bulky for my liking. My phone was black but you can also get it in a sleek white. The 3.5 inch screen takes up most of the front of the phone, at the bottom end is a silver menu key and send/end touch keys. Around the sides of the phone is a chrome look strip which looks very stylish and compliments the black very well. The USB connection and key lock are on the left side, the up/down volume buttons and image capture button are on right, and finally to the top of the phone is the on/off button and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Not forgetting the main camera and its cover on the very back of the phone which we will look into further on in the review. The Screen & Keypad - As said previously the touchscreen is 3.5 inches in size and resistive. The resolution is 640 x 360 pixels, up to 16.7 million colours. I think that the touchscreen could have been better, it certainly isn't as responsive as the iPhone in that category, I sometimes find myself having to click the screen multiple times before it registers what I am trying to do. Image quality makes up for this. The phone has a full slide out QWERTY keyboard which is very useful if you are a text addict like me. The keys are also well spaced out, I hardly ever press buttons by accident because they are just the right size. The keys are well lit with a backlight, great for texting in low light conditions. In general the keypad slides out effortlessly from the main phone and I am yet to have any problems with it. Battery Life - Something I'm not too thrilled about is the battery life, I find myself having to charge the phone every few days if not more often, I didn't have this problem with my W850 however I appreciate that the N97 needs more battery to 'do its thing'. Charging is easy, just plug the wall charger in and use the usb connection on the phone, it usually charges fully within 3-4 hours. Memory - The phone has an amazing 32gb internal memory which can be expanded up to 48gb with a microSD card. Unfortunately the phone can't handle running multiple applications, along with widgets and everything else that comes included with the phone, I think this is down to the CPU which sometimes makes the phone slow and sluggish to use. Sending & Receiving Texts - As said before you can send texts efficiently with the full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, you can also use the on screen touch keyboard if you prefer. There's no need to worry about deleting your important text messages, there's lots of space to keep them all, just make sure you are saving to the mass memory and not the phone memory. I made this mistake and it slowed down my phone to the point where it was near impossible to use. Overall I am impressed with the ability to save all these texts and how fast I can send them with the keyboard. Music Player - Another one of the phones highlights, with the 32gb internal memory you can't go wrong when it comes to music. I use it as a substitute to my iPod, I can store just as many songs on the phone and upload them from my computer just as easy as I would with my iPod. Along with the Nokia music store where you can download songs from thousands of artists, which is basically iTunes but ran by Nokia themselves.Vollständige Rezension lesen
The phone arrived from Hong Kong via USPS faster than expected. The phone is everything as described. Do not think you are getting an I-Phone, you're not. The instructions you would expect were the worst I've encountered. Went to the internet to find better with little luck. Trying to set up speed dial is impossible (for me). The phone comes with two batteries because it drains batteries quickly. The charging cord is extremely short. The phone has good sound and I've only dropped one call that I will blame on T-Mobile. As long as it lasts me until November I can live with it.
