Before this WT-800 I had played an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500. Small amp, fake sounds (after years of fiddling with that crappy Tone Hammer, I really do think that Class D stuff is for the birds.) You need a bass amp with some physical weight and a tube preamp. This thing has just that, and delivers a wide range of sounds, the multitude of which I have barely scratched the surface of. Paired with an Eden 4x10 it is MONSTROUS (a friend has this rig, which I why I finally sprang for the WT-800 - SO GLAD I did. Unfortunately for me I'm still trying to get rid of my Aguilar DB cabs (two 1x12's - woofy and indistinct) but this bass head has unlocked the potential of my sound - it *never* leaves me hanging - is always full and lovely. Great product, highly recommended. As I understand it, they're somewhere close (in Summer '16) to phasing out the WT-800 - maybe it's already happened - which is another reason I jumped on this one. The new Edens are made in China (uh-oh) and appear to have some notable differences... so glad to have scored this WT-800.Vollständige Rezension lesen

These knobs are noticeable larger than the original knobs on my Eden WT330 amp. Be sure you measure your knobs before ordering, these are not exact replacement knobs for the WT330 series, not sure about the other Eden amps, just make sure you measure if you want exact replacements.

I've been a bass player since the 60's, and was totally sold on the Ampeg sound. About 5 years ago, I needed a rig for a concert and a buddy of mine lent me his WT-800 and a couple of Eden D-210XLTs.... Wow!! We all know Ampeg can also produce a fair amount of sound, but where Eden shines is the amount of the sound it produces that's usable. Add to that the + 3 db of usable headroom, almost unlimited EQ with compression built in, plenty of sock, practical connectivity, flexibility to bi-amp, bridge, run in stereo or mono, no power tubes to bias. There is very little you could want in addition to the features of this amp.

In the world of knobs, shape and feel counts. Edens are some of the best. I even swapped out some of the gain knobs on my Allen & Heath mixer because they are very visible from a distance and give you more control.

Top of the line bass amp. I've been using Eden for a few years now and upgraded to this head...at a great price on Ebay. Power, tone, flexible, sturdy. Eden is the best.
