This book consists of two previous 'At War' publications - B-17 and B-29. The book will appeal to those with a particular interest in these aircraft and this period of aviation. The narrative is detailed and informative, yet easy to sit and read. Each section is supported by photographs which are mostly of good quality. My only disappointment is the book's limited coverage of the B-29's service in Korea which seems to have been treated almost as an afterthought. I would have liked to have seen more of the B-29 at war in those three years rather than the book concentrating on it's service against Japan.

The item was purchased as a present for a friend who takes an interest in the aircraft of this period and from the comments he has made, I can only conclude that the purchase was worthwhile as he is very happy with the book.
