There should be stars for reliable, value, and image quality. In that case 3.5, 4, 5. It's film, it's not as reliable as a digital camera, so I'd say 3 stars, 4 stars when you practice a lot. For a MF format camera it's very reliable compared to a 40 year old MF camera. If you want outstanding images, it's good value. If you're happy with images on your point and shoot, then it's a horrible value. Image Quality, with the correct film, the correct compoisition, the correct photographer skills; you have incredible film images. Film costs so if you have to figure this into your own value equation. This camera is beautiful: to look at, to hold, to operate, and to shoot with. It's built like a fine clock. It has a straightforward aperture priority setting, the only "automatic" feature, but somewhat unreliable.. I think it underexposes, I've checked it with a light meter and a 5D3, and the FujiFilm light meter needs to be compensated at least 2/3 stop. I've tested with Kodak Porta 160 and 400. I'll shoot some Ilford HP5 400 next and then I'll know what this camera can do. The range viewfinder is beautiful, big and bright. One reason I didn't want to work with a Hassey or Mamiya. No interchangeable lenses, so you do not want this camera if you want other than 80mm. Finally, if you get one and the shutter doesn't fire and still lets you advance the film, or you see all shutter speeds lit up in the veiwfinder and they're not blinking, you probably have a weak battery. FujiFilm tech support figured this one for me. Duh . . . . Vollständige Rezension lesen

This is a wonderful modern film camera. It folds down to a very compact size, so that it can go together with your DSLR to trips. It has the convenience of a modern, accurate metering that you can trust. It shoots 6x6 and 6x7, two of the most beautiful formats on the 120 film. The shutter is dead quiet, so you are not intrusive at all, and you can handhold the camera by an extra stop or two. Lastly, since this camera is still in production, you can be assured of quality service and parts from Fujifilm. Things that could have been better? Well, it would be nice if the lens can be folded with a thin UV filter in place. UV filter is useful as a protector, but it is also very much needed when shooting in high altitude locations where UV rays lower image contrast. That's about it! Every film photographer should get one of these!Vollständige Rezension lesen
