Beautiful instrument with amazing tone and playability. I've always wanted one, but the price was just too high. Was able to find one used here on eBay in near mint condition and saved a lot of money. Still expensive, but definitely worth it. Also, I recommend either a "Golden Era" Thumb (which are hard to find in good condition due to age) or a 2013 or later model. Mine is a 2014. The newer Thumb basses are once again using the best (in my opinion) materials. Wenge for the neck wood, the bridges are CNC routed from a solid piece of brass, invisible fretwork technology and illuminated side dots are some of the benefits of 2013 and later. The Bubinga Pommele bodies seem to be nicer than on some of the mid-2000's Thumb basses as well, but this is just what I have observed. Not sure if Warwick has upgraded the body wood or not. Much easier to find a newer Thumb in good condition as well.Vollständige Rezension lesen

At $4,800, it's easy to say that this bass isn't worth the price, but after playing it just once, you'll see why it has such a reputation. I dare say that for the price, this is the best quality instrument ever made above $2,000. It has tone knobs and beautiful pre-amp electronics, to allow for tone sculpting in any frequency range. I can play all the way down to the rumble of a Spector to the treble focus of a jazz bass. With 6 strings, you can also perform basically any part that your mind conjures up. Warwick 4 strings are gorgeous and play well, but there's something about 6 string basses that are unparalleled for progressive metal. The range gets the creative juices flowing. The wood used makes it heavy, but it creates such powerful harmonic resonance, to the degree that playing harmonics alone sounds incredible (The Fish by Yes, for instance.) Great for any style!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Warwick instruments, especially this bass, are very well thought out and designed. This instrument, although quite heavy, is very well balanced. Placing the tuning heads at a downward angle was very smart. The adjustable nut is a great innovation. The electronics complement the bright pickups. For an instrument of this caliber and price, Warwick could have included a hard-shell case; the vinyl gig bag doesn't cut it. While these instruments are a bit pricey, if you are a serious musician and you have the means, Warwick is the way to be.

The sound of wood is good and in this case It's also compact and fun to play. If you can get one for under $1400 then you should. The NT or Neck Through versions are a good deal at under $1800. You really can't go wrong with a German made Warwick and as long as the condition is good they will hold their value.

This is the Best Bass I've every Played. Very powerful with deep bottoms. Its a game changer. Guys if you like Hamburgers, here one with Triple Meat. The B string doesn't fall off. I slap it like all the rest, and it holds. Great sound, fast.....
