I really like the play of the game. It is a good use of the wii-mote, though the strokes can be somewhat challenging at times. It's a fun adventure game and has a ton of play time. I thought I was finished with the game after 30 some hours but was caught up in another story. I'm now almost finished with the second but it's gotten difficult. It's great that it's a challenge, and even greater how much play time there appears to be. I've heard over 100 hrs. I won't get tired of it. I like that if you want to spend your time leveling up, it's very easy to do so. Just engage the many floating demon scrolls for fights. If you're questing after something, it's easy enough to avoid these. A lot of the mini games are not mini games at all and advance the story line, but are not as annoying as some of the Zelda mini games (like target practice). I'm somewhat in the middle as far as gamers go (not too hardcore, but not just a computer solitare player) so this game is good for me. HOwever, the hardcore gamer will probably have a ton of fun with it as well, especially if it's getting pretty hard for me so early.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I decided to buy Okami for Wii seeing as how it got rave reviews from almost everyone who played it. After about one hour of playing it, I understood what all the talk was about. In a nutshell, Okami is about a wolf who has to save the world, but there's much more to it than that. The story is told with the assistance of beautiful graphics that are made to resemble traditional Japanese paintings and the music also has elements of traditional sounding Japanese music. As for the gameplay, at first it's a little hard to get used to using the Celestial Brush and everything, but something about it makes you feel just so much more involved in the game. Otherwise the controls are relatively easy to memorize. The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes the game seemed a little glitchy or that it was dragging a bit. But it didn't happen too often and it was nothing that disrupted gameplay too much. Music: 10/10 Graphics: 8/10 Gameplay: 8/10 Replay Value: 3/10 TOTAL: 29/40Vollständige Rezension lesen
I bought this game after a play through on the original Play Station 2 version. Once you get used to the game controls of the wii, the game is fun. The story line is the same as the PS2 version, so no hidden surprises. I'm the type of person who (if I've really enjoyed a game), adore a second play through. And having to relearn the controls with the wii remote was a bit challenging at first, not as easy as the PS2 controls. The only real nitpick I have with this is that there are no credits at the end of the game (due to legal reasons, from what I've read online with the closing of Clover studios). And a game with no credits generally bums me out at the end. I also experienced some glitches in the Wii version that I did not experience in the PS2 (namely, Ammy's head disappearing after battles....crossing over town/map borders usually fixed this, or a reboot at worse, it was rather annoying.) In general, the game is terrific - the animation and backgrounds are absolute eye candy, and the story line is an attention keeper - as with any good adventure/role play, you can connect with the characters, and most main characters are memorable. However, for those of you looking for a first play through, I'd suggest going with the original PS2 version instead of Wii, simply for the fact that it is the original with full credits at the end. However, if you don't own the PS2, go with the Wii version obviously - this game isn't worth missing out on, credits or not.Vollständige Rezension lesen
This game is about as close to being Zelda as you can get, so I say swoop it up if you're a fan of that style of game. It can be found for like $5 in Wii, which is great value for such a deep game. The graphics are unique and still look cool despite being a tad dated. My only gripe is the controls: fighting and painting can be a challenge. Finicky controls aren't uncommon with the Wii though ;)

This game is awesome. I'm so glad I finally was able to procure a copy. Factory sealed no less. Fantastic and unique graphics and gameplay. It is quite innovative, even now, 10 years later. Fabulous storyline as well.
