Small and versatile lens. Nice sharp images when used on my Canon 6Dii. Only negative point is that it is not great in low light conditions. Fabulous addition to my camera bag.

I read mixed reviews about this lens, probably more negative than positive, but liked the size to go with an RP body. My thinking was, if I didn't like it, I would list it on ebay. I was pleasantly surprised that the image quality is first class at all lengths and apertures. This is a lens I will be keeping and probably using quite a lot.

Some have written this lens down. But it is a great lens for an enthusiast. The actual performance in the real world is very good. It is not a fast lens but with modern bodies or 35mm film out doors, fast enough at f5.6. (worst case) If you want fast, stay away from zooms all together. It may not be the absolute best possible, but as a second hand lens it's a real winner. Mine was as new secondhand at a third of new price making it quite affordable for such a quality build. That alters the equation. I like it better than the EF70-300 F4-5.6 IS USM it replaced, better feel and handling. It is small and light on the camera (7D) making it an all day lens so I will use this with my 28MM f1.8 as a pair for a day out and get just about any subject. So this is a lens that will get used, rather than left behind, which is the name of the game.Vollständige Rezension lesen
