The TC-20E III AF-S Teleconverter delivers stunning results bearing in mind this is a 2x teleconverter. I am using this Teleconverter on a AF-S 70-200 VR I (older Version). Sharpness and resolution looks good in the center wide open (f 5.6) already and get very good stopped down to f8. I have not tested the very far corners as this is not that much of interest for me as I am mostly shooting sports or wildlife photography or any photograph where pictures are shot wide open anyway (I rarely shoot boring brick walls that are flat and where all over sharpness is of interest). The good thing with this converter compared to 3rd party products is that the autofocus is still working accurate and tracks objects in AF-C mode very quickly under normal daylight conditions. The converter is pricy compared to 3rd party converters but there is no much choice at the moment if you want to avoid buying a 2nd lens that you might not use frequently if you own a Nikon 70-200 lens. I also owned the 80-400 lens, which would be an option but this lens has such a slow slot driven AF that I have sold it for a good value and bought this teleconverter. I have not tested this converter with other lenses then the Nikon AFS 70-200 VR1 and there are only a hand full of long AFS lenses that physically fit to the mount of this converter. Before you are going to get this converter check the Nikon support page which lens is compatible with this converter. Finally time has proven me right as I am not missing the Nikon 80-400mm since I have this converter in my backpack (Saves money, weight and space in my backpack). I can recommend this teleconverter if you cannot afford the Nikon AF-S 200-400 or if you do not need this focal length that frequently. Some photographers say that cropping is better than using a teleconverter, but this in not the case here. This converter is much better than cropping your image and resampling to higher resolution again. So if you think of buying a converter, go and get this one, you cannot do anything wrong with it. If you then find that you do not like it then you can sell it for nearly the price you bought it.Vollständige Rezension lesen
