For me, this is one of their best albums, which is high praise, as pretty much everything else they've produced is top notch. As an early album, the tracks vary in style but each one is excellent and they get better, with each subsequent listen.

I bought this album purely out of curiosity after hearing a few Sigur Ros tracks on You Tube,so the hunt was on for some of their albums. One stand out track was Olsen Olsen which is why I chose to buy Ageatis Byrjun and for a first proper delve into the world of Sigur Ros it did not let me down as this album is a work of genius,this grabbed my ears,stopped me in my tracks,sat me down and took me to a wonderfully chilled out place. Its a combination of proper musicianship,creativity, and technology that blends together to create some extraordinary music and I'm now hooked on them. Anyway, don't just take my word for it,buy this album,grab a beer,crash out on the sofa and drift of to a wonderfull place called Agaetis Byrjun,you wont be disapointed !
