Very good sounding amplifier with surprising volume for two EL84s. Effects loop is nice, but a bit hot. It plays nicely with higher headroom delays, but older delays might not be so happy. My Boss DD3 distorted in the loop, but my Digitech Hardwire worked fine. The emulated outputs are marginal. USB and XLR emulated outs both sounded muffled and narrow. The crunch mode drops the output, so switching between clean and crunch yields a quieter crunch sound. Reverb is just ok. But the amp really shines in its tone. It has all the tone you'd expect from a 6505-series. The clean is very nice, and can be pushed into blues territory. The crunch takes that blues territory and can go to heavy classic rock. The lead channel begins with the 80s and ends in modern high gain. EQ is very musical. Resonance and Presence are surprisingly effective for a low-wattage amp. I've actually used it at rehearsals through a 1960b 412 and had no trouble keeping up with the other guitarist's 50w head. It has its shortcomings, but overall is a great amp worth the price.Vollständige Rezension lesen

I purchased this mini 20 watt head on eBay based on user reviews on here and on Youtube. I ran the head through the paces and I'm quite pleased! I wish I had this when I gigged out! The clean channel sparkles and the EQ section responds nicely. The reverb adds depth to any tone you can get out of this amp. Using the crunch channel, you can dial in from slightly clean/crunchy to all out dirty and yes, it does react to your touch and the use of your volume knob. The lead channel is all you'd want it to be. Some people use a drive pedal in the front of it, but for my style it's not needed. I love the build in attenuator, headphone out/speaker defeat. This is VERY useful when you HAVE to be quiet and play. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who gigs out or plays at home.

The 6505 MH is not quite like the actual 6505. Likely due to the EL84’s, it lacks the famous grind and aggression of its bigger brother. The attack is much softer, though the actual voicing of the amp is largely the same. The clean is hard to attain without the low gain input option, but the crunch/rhythm channel is actually pretty close to the real deal. Definitely skip if you are expecting the aggressive metal tones of the 6505/5150.

This is a great little amp for all types of music. It cleans up nice with low pre-gain and raised post-gain on the rhythm channel. It has gain for days. I tighten up the sound with an over-drive pedal. It's light weight and loud. I plug mine into a 4x12 cabinet. You can use it with band practice.

I like this amp. It's my first mini head. Still loud enough to gig with the band. The built-in reverb and attenuation are nice. The headphone feature is stale and it could be better. It's nice to play while everyone is asleep. The foot switch stopped working after 3 weeks of playing.
