There are very few things to complain about with the Mamiya 7. It's one of the most comfortable, lightweight medium format cameras I've used. It's foolproof and prevents most mishaps relating to accidental film exposure. It's as easy to use as a Leica M rangefinder and the auto-exposure lock using the central spot meter provides very quick metering of the scene. Point it around at a few different surfaces to get an idea of the levels in the frame then lock it on what you believe is the best and re-frame to take the shot. Simple. And as far as I can tell, a single battery will last a long time. The only two cons I can think of are the minimum 1 metre focusing distance and the sheer cubic footprint of the camera with the lens attached, although this isn't out of the ordinary for a medium format 6x7 camera. For its size, it's incredibly light and comfortable to hold with one hand to the point of not even needing a strap. Definitely a great modern camera to use if you are looking for a medium format system.Vollständige Rezension lesen

So happy with this camera, amazing image quality and so easy to travel and shoot with. While the design may be slightly bulky it more than makes up for it with the results. Definitely pick one up if you love shooting film.

Good camera, light weight for the film format and has a bright view finder. The metering system is accurate but you might need practice using only a center weighted metering system.
