I have half a dozen of these Moebius Ford pickups, and I plan to buy a few more. Moebius picked the right vehicle to model when they chose the bump-side Ford pickup, as the year and model combinations are the most numerous of all the many Ford pickup styles. After all of the yearly versions have been released, along with both the long and short bed kits, six cylinder and V8 motors, it will be possible to build almost any version with any option from 1967 to 1972. I hope they will kit a step or style-side version in the future, or even a 3/4 ton or larger, but my biggest wish is that they will include a 4x4 conversion to the line. I bought the 1969 Model King kit first, then two of the 1971 Moebius kits, and then 3 of this kit version. I've built 4 already, kit bashing a short wheel base 1971 XLT Ranger, a long wheel base 1969 Custom with a granny 4-spd transmission, a 1970 long wheel base, a 1970 long wheel base XLT Ranger and a 1971 shorty Custom, all with a 4x4 setup of my own building! The potentiality of the differing versions makes for a lot of modeling pleasure in my future. With the 1967, 1968 and 1972 years still to come (I hope!), and the many engine and tranny combinations possible, Moebius has hit a homerun with these kits. Now, how about that 302 cid motor and the 4x4 package, or even a 460 cid with a granny 4-speed transmission in 3/4 ton livery, lift kits, big tires and wheel packages?...will Moebius or Model King listen? The possibilities are almost endless!Vollständige Rezension lesen

i appreciate this model being made as I wanted a 1970 Ford truck model. Detail is great. the instructions have some errors and some lack of clarity. I had great difficulty with the final assembly , putting together the cab and interior and getting it all to fit correctly on the frame. The firewall had to be severely modified for it all to fit together. I had trouble with some of the small decals, and they ended up being unusable. I am experienced at modeling. I think the decals are too thin. However, in the end, this model turned out very nice looking, but it took a great deal of effort and modifications to the kit to get it assembled. The detail and quality of all the parts is good. Up to this point, no one has offered a model kit of a 1970 Ford pickup, and I'm glad Moebius had the initiative and vision to do this. As with all the new Moebius kits this one also builds simple and very nice fitting parts, looks like the real thing when complete, i have purchased six of these pick up kits because they are that nice. the 69 and 71 f-100 kits by Moebius/Model king are also very nice kits. It would however be nice to see these great kits made to use the 60's style 1/16th metal axles for a more durablel build, much less apt to damage final build. But, these kits are very nice as they come. No complaint, Moebius, please Keep the great kits coming !

This was my first Moebius kit and I am very pleased. The parts fit is very nice. The detail is also very nice. The thing I like most about this kit is the instructions. Nice quality glossy paper and great exploded views of how the pieces fit together. Also some nice finished photos in the back. Looking forward to more Moebius kits in the future.

It's just another fine model from the new kid on the block, Moebius. I note it's not durable, because it's not supposed to be. It's a plastic kit to be built and enjoyed. It assembles well. Younger kids should have adult oversight. Painted and detailed, it's a delight.
