The Stanton 500 /505 (I believe formerly pickering way back) is an excellent open sounding audio cartridge with good transient response. They were fitted as standard to some well known brand DJ turntables too. I use these on Northern Soul DJ events on 50 - 60 year old records with excellent results. These replacement stylus have proved to perform very well.

Still sounds good. Bought to enable functionality on my second deck, but for the price should probably replace my ortofon nightclub with another of these. Don’t get me wrong the nightclub still sounds better especially in the upper frequencies which seem to extend higher and sweeter and has a much higher output, but this way if my 2 year old gets his hands on it there won’t be tears! Doesn’t feel built down to a price.

Very good quality copies. Have bought these for some years and never had cause to complain

Bought as replacement for damaged stylus on Stanton 505 MkII cartridge. Fitted fine and sound pretty good. No specs provided but no skips or jumps at around 1.5g tracking force. Be careful removing from the box though - easy to catch the stylus on the packing foam.

I can recommend these Kyowa replacement stylii, as they represent excellent value for money and I can't tell the difference in sound quality between these & the originals made by Stanton, which are very hard to find. I gather Stanton no longer make them. I discovered that I've had these Kyowa stylii before about 10 years ago and the plastic case has not changed in design in all that time! Whoever Kyowa are, they've obviously been making these for many years, which is another reason for recommending them. Will definitely buy again.
