Dragons Dogma is a masterful game, that focuses on what's important. Gameplay! Dragons dogma is a mashup up of western ideas, fused with the high inpact and interesting fighting only found in Japan. Dragons Dogma is in the same vein of great titles like, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Monster Hunter, Shadow of the Collousus. The game burrows ideas from each. Difficulty from Dark souls, open world from skyrim, grand adventures from Monster hunter and climbing impossible creatures - shadow. The game story is kinda lacking and the cutscenes don't really help bring you in. But once you are unleashed in the world, the fun and beauty really shows through. The game employs a "PAWN" system. Pawns are a human like race that lack a "Spark". They are pretty much immortal but are basically willing slaves that do whatever you wish, and ask for more to do. Whats neat about this is that you create your own pawn, and soon are off adventuring. This ally is the best, as they will ALWAYS be by yourside no matter what. Also, if you connect the game online, others can hire your pawn as a merc in their world. When they do this your pawn learns valuable information on new missions and monsters. When you bring them back to your world, they bring back that knowledge and become EVEN more helpful. The real marvel in this game is combat. The combat is great, and deep! The open endedness is great. Example! You can jump off a cliff, onto a griffins head, hang on and slash them. The griffin will then toss you off of his face and you can go fly into the air. All the while your pawns are helping, climbing and fight goblins and launching epic spells that consume the land. -Pros- - Great scope with loads of quest and things to do - Customization is key, and creating your character and your ally is great fun - Monsters are huge and frightening - Pawns (your allies) are very useful and can offer genuine advice -Cons- - When playing through the game, it makes you wish the developers put in a co-op option. The game just seems to scream for a friend to join in. Story - 7/10 Graphics - 7.9/10 Gameplay - 10/10 Design - 9/10 Overall FUN and Recommendation 8.9/10Vollständige Rezension lesen
I was very excited for this game's release in 2012. However, I didn't start playing it until 2015. I love a good Role-Playing game, especially High Fantasy/Medieval Fantasy. This game has a feature that is not available with any other RP game I've ever played; you can change your class whenever you'd like (after about 2 hours in), as often as you'd like. The graphics are pretty good and the game-play is easy to get the hang of. There are plenty of quests, though most are "fetch this item" or "kill x# of a creature" or escort missions. I am currently about 30 hours into the game and I have not felt like I'm grinding for levels yet. The fact that you can change your class keeps it from getting old.
Took a chance on this game since it looked cool, and boy am I glad. If you like rpgs, like breath of fire 3, and breath of fire 4, I have a strong inkling you will like this capcom game too. I put alooota time into it just to put more time into it, because it's just that much fun. Tip though, buy dragon dogma dark arisen, its like the game of the year version and has a little more stuff I hear. Regardless though this game will rock your socks, the cutscenes, the story, the battle styles, are just great!!!!
the lady that sold me the game was honest and didnt try to make the game more then it was,, she was simppily honest , is just maken a honest liven ,, thank you
