This is a simple review of the HTC HD7, written by a guy that lives in Mozambique - Africa (network is 3G, not that advanced) and possesses good IT knowledge (electronic engineer). I bought this product because when I was still in college, I did a lot of "windowshopping" for touchscreen phones (computer monitor shopping, actually, as in Moz the cellphone offer is too limited or too costly, like 4times the usual price); times went by and now I am lucky enough to have a good wage... so instead of computer-monitor-shopping I bought THE ACTUAL HTC HD7 because of the software's novelty, the size of the screen and the overall built quality that HTC has. What I mostly like about this cellphone is: 1. the size of the screen; 2. the ways of interaction with it (when you're typing a message, and find out that a word is misspelled, just tap the screen for more than 3 secs and a cursor pops in, so that you can direct it to where the wrong character was written; on search you can put your phone to "hear a song on the radio" and make it determine which song it is; the email retrieving from both my GMail and Live account; the threaded sms's; the integrated Live Messenger - after the software update - and so more that I still need to find out). Hardware-wise, I'm satisfied with the HD7. My dislikes are software specifics, like: 1. the fact of not being able to send photos via Bluetooth to the cellphone/computer that is next to me (hence, unable to use the phone and connect it to a PC via Bluetooth and use it as a PowerPoint presenter - but I believe that this will change, Microsoft just needs to figure out a secure way to deal with this issue); 2. the poor battery life (if you want it to last for 24 hours you can't listen to music, you'd need to disable automatic retrieval of emails, etc...); and 3. the lack of a file manager {example: when I was in college and without daily Internet access, I would use my old phone to send emails to my supervisor... I would write the text on the PC, send the Word file via Bluetooth to a certain Folder created on the phone's memory (or Memory Card, but let's say phone's memory to fit the HD7's characteristics) and after that, with the file manager I would fetch that Word file and send it via email to him. It's a major bucks saver as the file could be some kb's of network traffic instead of connecting the phone to the PC as a modem, but for now I'm unable to do so}. Compared to others, I would say that there are other options for guys that dislike the software specific shortcomings such as the Androids out there (Desire HD, Galaxy S II, etc.), the iPhones and the touchscreen enabled BlackBerries (take it with doubts on the side). Overall, I would recommend others to buy this cellphone, because call reception is great (the basic cellphone's function), email could improve with the file manager but it's OK for now, nice photos (you can take pics with the phone locked) and there is even a function to go online and make the HD7 ring so that you can know its whereabouts within your house, or erase its data if its stolen. Internet Explorer rocks BIG TIME (pinch to zoom is superb)... wow, I think I'm getting carried away with the phone's greatness, so I will wrap up this review right now. Bottom line: the HTC HD7 is a great, technologically advanced phone that could improve with a good battery life, better BlueTooth use and decent File Explorer. its windows phone, its got good picture quality. the internet is superfast and its just user friendly. you dont need to know rocket science to use this phone.
So far I really enjoy this phone. One of the draw backs is the available apps for it right now. But the phone is very quick to respond, clear large screen. And great Micrsoft program interaction.
Geart seller! Item came super quickly!! Thank you!!

I love this phone. I can run several different programs at once and the battery lasts long. I switched over from android and there are a few things that windows does not offer, but besides that I am very satisfied with the phone. The best thing was I did not even have to pay over 100. =D
