in all a very good made a great christmas present at a the right price. Someone who received the present love it so much and wishes i gave her two , for her and for her daughter. in fact, one of the family already had one LG Cookie and they really like it so much.
I was apprehensive when I purchased the touch screen ‘Cookie’ KP500 mobile phone. I shouldn’t have worried because it’s probably (so far!) the best mobile phone I’ve ever owned. When I say ‘It’s the future’I am of course referring to its design, namely, keyless (well almost) large touch screen cell phone, as opposed to (what seems to me in a very short time), the more common, dare I say, obsolete? Standard 12 key phones which we have all owned at one time or another. I believe that quite soon all mobile phones will be of this touch screen ‘keyless’ design as they are so versatile. Back to the actual phone, the KP500 is (for the money i.e., cheap) probably the most advanced mobile you can currently get at any price. There have been a few bad reviews on the LG Cookie concerning the sound cutting out mid-conversation but as yet I have not experienced that problem. The menu system is like nothing like I’ve ever experienced before and I’m still not too sure how to do a few things, but being a touch screen phone its very intuitive and it didn’t take me long to get the mobile up and running and I’ve not really looked at the manual yet!. To conclude, I cannot possibly comment on all its advanced features, as it would take ages, I’m just going to say this, if you are on the lookout for a new mobile and want something different, easy to use and looks like it cost a lot more than you paid for it, get the KP500. I got mine from the Car Phone Warehouse as it was the cheapest I could find. Go for the cheapest (pay as u go tariff) phone which at the time for me was on Orange, as most if not all CFW mobiles are supplied unlocked and unbranded but please don’t take my word for it, ask the staff to confirm before you buy. It takes a Micro SD card up to 8GB capacity, which is huge! Specifications General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 Announced 2008, September Status Available. I use the LG Cookie KP500 for over 4 years now. For those who haven't got high a high demand of apps and internet (social media) use, this pretty solid mobile phone is the right thing to buy. It has a 3 inch, easy-to-use colour display and offers all the usual apps like calculator, count down, calendar, organizer, etc. - it has a slot for Micro SIM cards (up to 4GB) and is able to play any MP3 and WAV files you want. You can change your ringtone to one of your favourite MP3's for example. This phone has also a pretty good 3 MegaPixel camera and an incredible good audio recorder. It also has an integrated radio, but to use it you'd need the compatible head phones as they are also be used as the antenna. It's a 3G phone, so you can browse the internet - but I'd say it's a little slow... Like all phones it comes with one negative point that I've experienced twice so far (of the 5 KP500 phones I had): The charger port has to be handled with care as this is the weakest point of the phone and can be damaged if you are not careful when plugging in the charger cable.Vollständige Rezension lesen
The phone came and was faulty and actually doesn't work!! Also was really really difficult to find a charger for the phone which ended up costing me the same price and then phone doesn't work! It turns on but the place where the sim card goes is missing a wee bar so it won't register any sim cards.
