Bought this 3ds for my 8 year old daughter and she is in total love with it, its the third one in the house so great fun for playing games over the built in wi-fi. The 3d camera is great in daylight and takes great pictures, but in low light not quite so good but then it is a games console so its bit of a bouns feature anyway.We all love mario cart 7, and mario 3d land which are must have games, of course ds and ds lite games still work in it.
3DS is great for kids as not only can they play games but they can follow their favourite youtubers in the youtube app, and the streetpass feature gets them out and about and exercising! Screens are nice and bright and battery lasts about a day of full use so it can keep them engaged if you're busy decorating their bedroom and want them out of the way! lol The 3D camera is fun and the AR games seem to be a hit with the little ones. It's replaced their tablets pretty much and is harder to break than them! :-)

I bought this product as a christmas present, the 3D is very good although and it makes the game play visuals excellent. However, playing on it for a while does give me a headache and I find myself feeling cross-eyed and turning the 3D off sometimes. The ability to do this, I think is really good. The size is comfortable and easy to hold. I think i prefer the XL size screen though. The 3D games can be a little pricey. Young children tend not to like the 3D.
Its in good working order, but really scruffy , loads of scratches in and out side and even food still stuck on the inside, I was quite disappointed as my little girl had saved all her money for a year to buy one and it came looking really used. It's cleaned up allot better now but I don't think I would buy another from this company.

I got this for my six year old as she broke her previous games machine, I found it simple to set up, including getting online and setting up parental controls. She loves it! I would advise having one's glasses nearby for the small text.
