THQ continues its exclusive relationship with the WWE in this installment of the best-selling SmackDown! vs. Raw franchise. Making its first appearance on Xbox 360, the game features high-definition wrestlers with animated facial expressions, real-time "sweat," and signature moves. Dynamic 3D crowds make their presence known throughout each match with cheers and jeers, and they will even supply wrestlers with weapons outside the ring. A new analog-based control scheme simplifies the action by letting players flick the right stick in different directions to perform various situation-specific grappling moves. Each arena features 20 interactive hot spots, from turnbuckles to ropes to guard rails, allowing players to slam heads, rub faces, and perform other "friendly" maneuvers.<br><br>Players can lead their favorite star through multiple branching storylines over a full season, or take on a Vince McMahon-type role in the general manager mode. The latter has you hiring writers, choosing from multiple plot threads, managing a salary cap, and setting up matches for weekly television broadcasts. Schedules, e-mail, rosters, reports, and budgets are all accessed from the GM desk inside a 3D locker room, where you'll try to turn a profit and deliver big ratings to increase the popularity of your grappling group. More than 60 male and female wrestlers are available to play as or against, including such past and present stars as John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Trish Stratus, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, Chris Benoit, Big Show, and Torrie Wilson. Xbox Live support is also included for online multiplayer matches and custom tournaments.

Fun game for a WWE fan, but not good online
This is probably my 2nd favorite Smackdown vs Raw game, behind 2011 for gameplay. What makes me like this game more than 2011 in different ways include certain characters, certain modes, and graphics. While I prefer the fast-paced SvR 2011 because of that game's physics, I still come back to this game for the story mode. The story mode in SvR 2007 beats the rest of the SvR games by far. It's also entertaining to hear Michael Cole and Tazz commentate on Smackdown, while Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are on Raw. They say the funniest things that they won't allow now because of the PG crap. It's also a good change and variety, unlike hearing just Lawler and Cole cover every event in SvR 2011. The graphics also look a lot more realistic and sharp, unlike the sort of bright animated lights ... This is probably my 2nd favorite Smackdown vs Raw game, behind 2011 for gameplay. something just doesnt feel right
i love wrestleing games i have almost everyone made sense the sega. The new raw vs smackdown 2007 was great overall but was missing some important parts that are crucial to the game. 1. the new grapple controls never feel right. 2. the graphics are great but something with the eyes of the people just feel akward. 3. to many times one must rely on button mashing to do everything which takes away from the game. the gm mode also is lots of fun but needs to really become more user freindly for next years game.i love wrestleing games i have almost everyone made sense the sega. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 (Xbox 360)
The best wrestling game I've played in a while. Finally listening to fans complaints with previous offerings; it's good to see the series taking a new approach with less of an emphasis on running around the ring like a madman, and more on planning how to wear down your opponent. This game is so totally awesome esspecially the graphics.Even though its begining to feel like another tony hawk series its still a great game any wrestling fan new or wcw old should love. By the way the new control system is the rock,stone cold,goldberg,hulk hogan and batista all combined,aka:super fun!!!The best wrestling game I've played in a while. Great game
I have been a wrestling fan for 20 years, and have purchased the various games that have come out through out the years. I bought this 2 years after it came out to go with an Xbox 360 I had just won. It took a day or so to get the feel of how to play it, but once you get the hang of it, its fantastic. Graphics are quite good. I am playing it on a 27" tube tv, and it looks great, could only imagine what a lcd would look like. However, if you are thinking about getting sd vs raw 2009, then get that, and pass on this.I have been a wrestling fan for 20 years, and have purchased the various games that have come out through out the years. finally!....wrestling games have come back to greatness
SIMPLY PUT! THIS IS THE BEST "SMACKDOWN" GAME EVER RELEASED,....BAR NONE! Now that that is out of the way. Yukes has been working on this engine ever since the import new japan pro wrestling games on the 1st PS. This isa there return to greatness. The level of,....well (tounge in cheek) realism is almost unbeliveable. Graphics, sound, control, overall presentation are so close to the monday and friday night broadcast that only the loading screens will reming you that you are playing a game. There is way too much depth in this game to have any complaints. EVERY COMPLAINT OR ISSUE THAT I HAVE HAD IN THE PAST "SMACKDOWN" GAMES HAS BEEN ADDRESS AND FIXED FOR THE 2007 GAME.
