Well just updated my router from the outdated archer c9 to the new archer c7 v5 and what a diferance WiFi signal is much improved reaches the whole house at last no disconnections at all link speed to all devices is over 580mbs so well happy if you need a upgrade get one you won't be disappointed you can't get better than a tp-link router awesome quality and reliability.

Sped up original standard modem that came with internet utility package to about 2 to 3 times faster but didn’t make much difference once I upgraded my modem to a tp-link ac1200 dual band modem

I have a 'T' shaped house and due to going FTH the main router is now at the base of the 'T' and the walls are semi-engineering bricks that are not kind to wireless signals. Life became a misery of disconnects and failed links. After trying a couple of other routers as slave routers I saw this router on auction. The reviews said it was easy to configure and produced a powerful signal. The reviews were right. I now get 42Mbps in the previous 0-5Mbps kitchen and 90Mbps in the router location. Configuration was a breeze with help info throughout the config.

This router is great for flashing with DD-WRT, so you can get more from your home or small business network. I have this attached to my openreach fibre modem and my network is now much more reliable. It has excellent wifi coverage around the house and the gigabit ports come in useful for transferring large files around the network.
