The Hipshot "Tremsetter" is a devise that locks a Fender Stratocaster tremelo bridge in place while playing so the bridge does not move especially during bends and stress on the strings. When you want to use the whammy bar the Tremsetter unlocks easily with downward pressure and the best part is the bridge returns to pitch every single time making tuning issues a thing of the past. I wouldn't be surprised if these show up on Fender Stratocasters as standard equipment.

Great little "suspension element" definitely adds a lot of stability to any tremolo system. Even if u go crazy bombdiving, it will return to zero position. Two tips 1) The tension might need to be increased (with two white rollers) quite more then you might think, especially if you intend to use D-Tuna or drop D tuning. 2) Because I am using D-tuna I had to tighten the spring with two white rollers. It improves the tone a lot, and going up or down with trem system is now much more controllable and refined, however it means that you can't really get vibrato bigsby-like effect because it takes some straighten to move the trem pass zero point. Overall I did not meant that stratocaster to be used for vibe, it is Rock machine and on rock machine with floating tremolo, this stabilizer works just great. P.S. A little tough to install and painful on your fingers if you let it slip during installation.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Awesome product, I recently repaired an older Fender Strat plus and up until that point, had never experienced the tremsetter’s advantage! After I had dialed in my friends Strat and both he and I noticed that it stayed in tune perfectly, every time, I had to buy and install one in my own American JB Strat! Absolutely a very cool invention, no wonder Fender used it on one of their higher end models! Well worth it!

I have one of these in every one of my guitars with a Floyd Rose bridge in it. That adds up to 5 at this point. I use it to not only bring the bridge back to center but I tighten the bull spring down to help stabilize the bridge and I get no warble when I palm mute or when I bend the strings. I will admit that it is kind of tricky to set up especially if you have not set one up before. When they are set up right they are fantastic and in my opinion probably the best thing there is for a fully floating bridge. This thing even holds one of my Floyds stable with an EVH D-Tuna on it.

Makes floyd rose tremolo "harder" to manipulate, so there is better tuning stability, and double-stop bends stay in tune. Installation in my schecter guitar was overall not too difficult. If you already know how to set up a floating bridge, or are competent with any guitar maintenance, it's possible. Being able to adjust the tension of the tremsetter means you can have a very solid bridge without blocking it, or you can make it very light again without uninstalling. I did have to file down a section of the mount, however, to make sure there was no way it would hit the spring when moving the tremolo. After that, I much prefer my tremolo with it installed.
