Reviewed by Me for TeensReadToo.com First Daughter Jenna Bush spent time during an internship with UNICEF working throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. During that time, she met a young girl named Ana. This is Ana's story, and it's one filled with hurt and abuse, with illness and disease, but also with hope and triumph. Ana was born with HIV/AIDS. She knew, from the time she was young, that she was different from many other children. She was sick, and she didn't understand why. When she loses first her mother and then her father to AIDS, Ana knows pain and heartbreak. And then the abuse starts, from uncaring relatives to whose homes she gets shuffled around to. Ana's life seems to take a turn for the better when she finds a center that specializes in the treatment of her disease ...

  • Ana'a Story

The book was interesting.I liked the way it explained about children and Hiv, and how it affects there life. It had plenty of information to where you could contact certain athorities about just about anything. I did not like how it just ended. I felt like it was a total waste of time reading it, considering you dont know the rest of the story. It states that Ana is going to finish the story herelf, but when will that be? I bought it because i like to read true life stories. But this one disappointed me simply because of the way it ended.

  • This book was excellent!

This was an excenellt book! it was easy to read and easy to understand. it give's you a better understanding on the younger people living with HIV/AIDS I have a sixteen your old daudgher and I would have her read it. Ana's story is a perfect example of not judging a book by the cover..

  • Excellent book

Excellent book. Well written and easy to read. Read the entire book in 2 nights. Very eye opening to the average american. This book is good for both the adult reader and the young adult as well. Would like to see Jenna Bush write more books, I would buy them without a doubt. Good Job.
