Nora Roberts Scores Another Hit in the Death Series
I love the Nora Roberts futuristic books written as J.D. Robb. Lt. Eve Dallas is relentless in advocating for the homicide victim and just does not stop until she has the murderer in jail. As tough as Eve is as a cop, she is still insecure about herself as the wife of a billionaire, Roarke, and is not yet accustomed to living with wealth. Both Eve and Roarke had rough childhoods that helped to shape them into the adults they have become, and together they are a formidable pair. Although both are street-wise and can be hard as nails when called for, they also have an intense and beautiful love for the other. Strangers in Death is the story of a shocking death of a well-know business man that looked, on the surface, like he was involved in kinky sex gone bad. Eve figured out right away ... I love the Nora Roberts futuristic books written as J.D. Robb. Lt. Eve Dallas is relentless in advocating for the homicide victim and just does not stop until she has the murderer in jail. As tough as Eve is as a cop, she is still insecure about herself as the wife of a billionaire, Roarke, and is not yet accustomed to living with wealth. Both Eve and Roarke had rough childhoods that helped to shape them into the adults they have become, and together they are a formidable pair. Although both are street-wise and can be hard as nails when called for, they also have an intense and beautiful love for the other. Strangers in Death is the story of a shocking death of a well-know business man that looked, on the surface, like he was involved in kinky sex gone bad. Eve figured out right away that the death scene had been staged and began to suspect the wife, even though she was out of the country at the time of death. The rest of the book goes into detail after detail of the steps Eve had to go through to prove her theory. As usual, Detective Peabody was there to help, as as well as the other cops. Roarke, the tech whiz, again helped her track down anything and everything electronically. The interplay between Eve and the other cops, Eve and Roarke and Eve and the murderer is always front and center in a J.D. Robb book. Eve is really hard core cop when she needs to be, loving wife when she wants to be and always, always there to speak on behalf of the victim. This is another great book!

This is the third to last story about Eve Dallas & her husband Rourke. Now out are the most recent two - Salvation and Promises. There are now 35 in all. Strangers is a little different from many of the others in the series as, this time, Eve feels she knows who the killer is right away and just has to prove it. The characters are fascinating and the story is carefully crafted to maximize the curiosity of the reader. The romantic interplay between Eve & Rourke is very sexy and usually very funny. It is always better to start at the beginning when getting to know characters in a series of books. Sooo... Begin with the first one - Naked in Death. They all have "in Death" in the title. They all take place beginning in 2058. As a result, things are a bit different. They have flying ... This is the third to last story about Eve Dallas & her husband Rourke. This results in the soy replacement for meat and even coffee. I have read most of them, some more than once. If you have a problem with graphic descriptions of sexual encounters, these are not for you. However, they are all done with a romantic overlay and are not in the least pornographic. They are very much like Catherine Coulter, Lisa Klepys or any of the other romantic fiction writers. They just involve a New York police detective and the richest man in the world solving crimes that take place 50 years in the future. Very cool!!!

Another Excellent Eve Dallas Novel !!!
You would think that Nora Roberts would not be able to keep going this good on the same story line, but she does! I really enjoyed this one. I love to try and figure out who is the killer and sometimes I guess it and sometimes I don't. But she always leaves me in suspense. Roarke sounds so sexy that I want to kiss him myself. I love all the characters in the "In Death" series and I cannot wait until the new one comes out. I am never board and the story just keep going on. I keep wondering when Eve will get pregnant!!!!!You would think that Nora Roberts would not be able to keep going this good on the same story line, but she does! I really enjoyed this one. I love to try and figure out who is the killer and sometimes I guess it and sometimes I don't. But she always leaves me in suspense. Roarke sounds so sexy that I want to kiss him myself. I love all the characters in the "In Death" series and I cannot wait until the new one comes out. I am never board and the story just keep going on. I keep wondering when Eve will get pregnant!!!!!

Great book in the series by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts)!
The characters are down to earth, likeable, yet get into some great adventures. "Strangers in Death" was hard to put down. The book takes place in the future. I loved reading about travel, food, and people in the future. Great book!
