      Good

      It was not better than expected but a good book in content. I am disappointed in the quality of the paper it is flat like, similar to a newspaper. It is probably to save weight and get all the mass of information into one volume. All in all great book on Marlin history. 👍

      The title, though long, says it all!

      A very detailed in-depth look at another great American firearms company that is no more. Col. Brophy did it again as only he could. The cross over from civilian to military and back to civilian production is fascinating to say the least. A great book with lots of information lay ahead for anyone who is able to obtain a copy. Good addition to any arms library. R.B.

      Marlin Firearms aka Brophy's Marlin book

      This book covers Marlins from the begining to the late 1980s. There is info on Model changes like when a caliber was added or when the 336 got drilled and tapped for a scope plus much more. It is the goto book for old collectors to accumulates like me.

      Marlin Firearms by William S. Brophy is one of the most comprehensive books about Marlin and the firearms they manufactured. Whether you're interested in the history or trying to figure out an approximate date of manufacture for a particular model, this book has it! It follows the history of Marlin firearms as well as provides an in-depth look at each model manufactured. It will tell information such as what sights were manufactured for each model. Who made them if they weren't made by Marlin and all the options that could be purchased with each model. It has reproductions of the original advertisements as well. You can see what each model went for brand new. The text is very readable. It doesn't assume anything or talk down to the reader. I couldn't find a ...
