I bought the Roland Mobile cube as a replacement for my Roland Micro Cube (which I gave away) and for situations where I didn't want to use my much larger Roland AC-33. The Mobile Cube cannot really compare with the AC-33 for sound quality, but it is almost as loud. Sound quality is about the same as a small boom-box, but much louder. The Mobile Cube does an acceptable job with electric guitar, and is passable with an acoustic, though the bass frequencies are weak because of the small speakers and case. It will not take the place of a regular guitar amp, but it is infinitely better than small battery powered amps made by Fender and DanElectro. I use mine mostly to plug in my MP3 player or for doing PowerPoint presentations with my laptop. It does an acceptable job with both. Two complaints though... the Roland case (sold seperately)that goes with this unit is not worth the street price of $30, and has no padding. A better choice would be a laptop bag for about the same money. The other complaint is the location of the power switch. It is on the side of the unit and is not protected. If you do not remove the batteries when you put it away, the unit can come on by accident and deplete them. Don't ask how I know this. Over all, I think Roland has produced another good product in the Mobile Cube which is certainly worth the money.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I purchased this product as a means of amplifying my acoustic guitar playing and singing, in a street type venue. We travel in a Mini Cooper, and every spare bit of room helps! The remarkably compact size of this unit, as opposed to a full size acoustic amplifier is amazing. Additionally, the output is quite good, with effects right in the two channel set up, as well! With this amplifier in the space reserved for lunch and water bottles, on the trips, we have more room for bigger items...such as the luggage and, of course, acoustic guitar! It has worked well in practices and I've yet to find a drawback for my purposes. The price was also easy on the pocketbook, and with any luck, the cost of the amp should be earned on the first "road trip" using it!
I'm a DJ and I provide music programs at senior living facilities during the week. I wanted something small (so I only had to make one trip from the car) and would fill the room with sound. This little amp really does the job. I don't have the thumping bass I'm use to, but my audiences really don't want it. I love that I can use a microphone with this amp. Also, I play keyboards and electric ukulele. It works great for practice. I haven't used it on battery power yet, but I'm happy it has that capability. The price was so reasonable! I've owned Roland keyboards so I know they make quality products.
Bought this amp for small to medium venues and friendly jamming. Sound quality is great, as it has stereo output running Two speakers instead of one, like most small amps. Uses batteries that seem to last forever, or an AC power cord. It has an XLR plugin for mics and a regular plugin for guitar. You have controls to add a little bass, or some echo & reverb. I’m really sold on this little gem, sounds just as good or better than the larger amps used by the others I jam with. Really recommend it to all guitar players, for playing at home or gigs, this one will not let you down !!!

I was trying to decide between this and the street cube so I bought them both. This is more like a toy compared to the street cube. Yes, it's loud, But The tone quality just isn't there. I have owned many Roland products and for the most part they are pretty good quality. This will make a good practice amp for just sitting around goofing off, but I'll use the street cube when it's time to get down to business. If money is a concern then go ahead and buy it however if money is not a concern go ahead and buy the street cube. It is however far superior to the other mini amps in this category. 5 watts or,less, and 2 five inch speakers that do put out a fair stereo effect. The street cube has 2 six inch speakers and better stereo. This has kind of a cheaper plastic feel to it. The street cube feels bulletproof.Vollständige Rezension lesen
