Product Information

Pokéholics are encouraged to take their adventurous spirit away from the DS and into the great outdoors with the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver. Each version is bundled with a "Pokéwalker" accessory, which tracks your steps on an LCD display. Every step you take earns you "Watts," a type of energy used to capture wild Pokémon or to locate hidden items from within the Pokéwalker. Any captured creatures or acquired items can then be transferred to the main HeartGold or SoulSilver cartridge for use in the game. As an added bonus, Pokémon that have been downloaded to the Pokéwalker will earn experience points while you walk, allowing the creatures to gain one level after being transferred into the main game. Two Pokéwalkers can also wirelessly communicate with one another for trading purposes. Gameplay in HeartGold and SoulSilver is mirrored after Pokémon: Gold Version and Pokémon: Silver Version on Game Boy Color. Players will return to the Johto region for more exploring and turn-based combat with Pokémon creatures, albeit with improved visuals and added touch-screen support.

PKMN HeartGold Version
Pokemon HearGold is half of a pair of remakes of the highly popular Pokemon franchise games, released almost eleven years ago. The games, while still very formulaic, immerse the player into the shoes of the character (named at the player's discretion), and the goal of the game is as well known as the mascot of the series, Pikachu: to catch 'em all, and to gain Gym badges. The games are the latest entries to the series (at least, here in the states, until March 6th, 2011), and boast powerful graphics and very clear, detailed scenery. Also, the sounds are amazingly presented on the Nintendo DS, and bring the game to life, even further pulling the player into the game. The 493 different creatures that exist in the Pokemon world are presented in various situations, either as foes, or as ... If you're interested in turn-based games, with incredible graphics, rewarding gameplay, and a solid storyline, then you might want to check this game out, as it might provide a comforting entry into the franchise, or a refreshing look at the games you once loved, and chose to leave, due to creative differences. Either way, this game...it's not a game to pass on.

Great game, recommend to everyone who has a DS/3DS or is a pokémon fan
Pokémon Heartgold is a fantastic game, a remake of one of the best titles in the franchise Pokémon and a must have for any DS/3DS user and pokémon fan. The game features the great mechanics we've seen in Pokémon Platinum, with the basic gameplay from Gold and Silver. Best Gen. IV Pokémon Game
This game is excellent, I'm sad that some of the mechanics in this game did not continue in future generations, such as walking with your Pokemon and use of the PokéWalker accessory. Gen. IV is my second favorite Pokemon generation behind Gen. V, and if you're interested in playing a Gen. IV game, HeartGold & SoulSilver will not disappoint.

Worn but Good
Sometimes the 3DS doesn't read the cartridge when you first put it in. You have to readjust it until it shows up at times. Other than that it seems to run fine and I believe it's a legitimate/genuine copy of the game. The cartridge is worn and clearly shows sign of previous use. That was as expected/shown in pictures. It's not perfect but it's good value for the price (considering Heart Gold can go for above 200 dollars in some places).Sometimes the 3DS doesn't read the cartridge when you first put it in. For those looking for an authentic DS pokemon game, this is a great choice.
The game played as it was intended and i was able to transfer my Pokemon from this game to Pokemon platinum version, then Pokemon black version and finally, Pokemon ultra sun. DEFINITELY AUTHENTIC. Very pleased.
