    Helen Jaffee's We are Cuba is interesting and useful.

    This is a well researched source of information on various aspects of Cuba's response to the US blockade and the consequent difficulties with trade and finance. The chapters on energy and biotechnology are particularly good. The author has both a scholarly and personal knowledge of her subject. Highly recommended.
