If you love 80s hard rock and heavy metal. Then you have to get this for your collection. These guys rock!!! Terry Ilous sings in the vein of Don Dokken, and Marc Diglios' guitar playing is like a blend between George Lynch and Eddie Van Halen. Excellent vocals and guitar work, for those who are interested. The production is first rate and this cd is heavier than their first cd which is just titled XYZ. There honestly is not a weak song on this disc, and that is not an easy thing for me to say. I really take pride in my music choices, so if you love 80s music like I do, then this is a must have for your collection.Tracks like "face down in the gutter" and "when night comes down" will have you banging your head against your will. I also recommend their first cd too; because it is really good as well. Take my advice and buy them both you will not regret it. Thanks 9493kyleVollständige Rezension lesen
XYZ really didn't have much of a chance when they hit the scene. But the time Hungry was released, bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam had taken over as The Latest Thing. Hungry which didn't go down in history as one of metal's all-time masterpieces but isn't a bad album either. Perhaps the greatest asset of XYZ is soulful voice of vocalist Terry Ilous. The CD's most memorable tracks include "Face Down in the Gutter," "Feels Good," and "When the Night Comes Down." There is a cover of Free's "Fire and Water" - XYZ put their own spin on Free's song and show that "Fire and Water" could be relevant to the hair metal scene of 1991. Unfortunately that hair metal scene wouldn't last much longer since the explosions of grunge and rap, but that doesn't make XYZ's Hungry less of a hidden classic.
Solid late 80s and early 90s style of hard rock. Exactly what you would want from a rock band from this era. Great sound.

This is a very well put together heavy metal CD!!!! I bought this when it was a new release!!! I'm showing my age now. Take it from someone who grew up in the 70's and 80's, this is worth listening to. But I'm not sure about this $40 price tag tho?!?!
