Deserves More Appreciation
So....tons of controversy about this film. Missed the mark at the box office. Some ERB fans were a little miffed at some of the changes and “grafting” that happened to this film. The ERB Mars books were the progenitor of almost every space fantasy that has come since. Star Wars included. The film, apparently, did not get proper marketing. Yeup. True that. That’s a shame, too, because there were to follow, many more ERB stories. The film, itself, was the best entertainment to be released in that particular year. Even with the plot changes and some inescapable holes, it still held together to give a great ride through a world only imagined. A world invented almost 100 years ago. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. If you have seen it, and liked it, buy a copy for someone who ... So....tons of controversy about this film. Missed the mark at the box office. Entertaining film, falls short of great!
Although not as successful as Disney would have liked, you can see where $200 million + dollars went with great expansive sets, CGI effects, and wonderfully developed martians. But the essence of great films is still characters you care about, and this is where John Carter stumbles. Taylor Kitsch and Samantha Morton do well enough, and old pros Willem Dafoe and Thomas Haden Church are unrecognizable in their alien form, something just doesn't grab you. It's an entertaining film, but you might get more by reading the Edgar Rice Burroughs original!Although not as successful as Disney would have liked, you can see where $200 million + dollars went with great expansive sets, CGI effects, and wonderfully developed martians. But the essence of great films is still characters you care about, and this is where John Carter stumbles. Taylor Kitsch and Samantha Morton do well enough, and old pros Willem Dafoe and Thomas Haden Church are unrecognizable in their alien form, something just doesn't grab you. It's an entertaining film, but you might get more by reading the Edgar Rice Burroughs original!

I already have it , I bought it from eBay. Before I bought this copy I looked and thought I didn’t have it but found it just before I received the new copy from you . Would love to trade it for something I haven’t got , and I think I’ve about every 3D movie . So I guess I loose , other wise it was a decent movie especially in 3D .

Judge this movie for yourself, See it , you wont be sorry, Its great!!
I loved this movie, I saw it in 3D at the theater and I was amazed at the effects, the cinema photography was second to none!! The critics bashed the hell out of this movie, because they are jealous losers, The movie had a big budget and the felt they had to bring it down! Well all I can say is see it for yourself, and you will come to the same conclusion I did, This movie deserved to be a blockbuster, but in my heart it is. One of my favorite new movies of the past couple of years, See it, you will agree!!!!!!!I loved this movie, I saw it in 3D at the theater and I was amazed at the effects, the cinema photography was second to none!!
