After living in France for a few months I realized that eventhough I could communicate fluidly in French, I could not understand the complex and varied language of French cuisine whose vocabulary is not present in standard dictionaries. This is an absolutely fascinating book for people that are interested in learning about French food or who are living in France and are unfamiliar with the vast array of products available to them. I like the small compact size which makes it convenient to carry with me and read whenever I have some free time or reference it when necessary. I also like the laminated pages that are more resistant to wear and tear; great for the anglophone foodies that will be carrying this everywhere. I recently moved from Japan to France where I also kept my World Food Japan as a consistent travelling companion. I have been a world traveller for 20 years and I am rarely without a Lonely Planet book in my possession. I have no criticisms concerning this book, however, I do think an updated version would be a welcome addition.Vollständige Rezension lesen
