For the price, so far, it doesn't seem too bad. But there are some issues.
As of now, the headlights seems pretty nice for the price. However they are not perfect. The projector lense, which I'm guessing is acrylic or something, has some bubbles in the pour of the casting.... also, the high beam cone doesn't meet the angel eye, so you can see the wires leading to the angel eye which looks a bit sloppy.... aside from this, I was annoyed to find out the headlight bulb was not the same as the OEM size, so my H13 LED's won't work in these and I had to buy a new set of 9006 LED's, which also means I would have had to buy high beam led's too if I wanted them, but I just don't care... I was kind of disappointed in that, however in the end for the price, I'm not going to go storm the gates. They are acceptable to me. (Ps I did seal all the seams with extra silicon, so if ... Alignment issues
The lower fender side adjustment screw is shorter than the OEM fixture and can make it very challenging to get the proper height adjustment, which can result in not being able to get alignment less than ideal. The light housing appears to be good but has no exhaust vent that would keep it from fogging or collecting moisture, guess time will tell. The bottom line is they will do if you are trying to save a buck but if you are picky then this is not the light for you. 2005 Rx8 tail lights
The tail lights fit on my 2005 Rx8, they fit good but not as tightly as the original stock lights. (But you can’t notice it) They look great and are bright. It was a simple plug and play. The brake lights are led and used the same reverse and signal bulbs. I installed the bulbs onto the new tail lights before installing on to the car. The wires were long enough the connect and had no issue with installing. Fast shipment and I’m very happy with the product. The tail lights fit on my 2005 Rx8, they fit good but not as tightly as the original stock lights. (But you can’t notice it) They look great and are bright. It was a simple plug and play. Spyder Projector Headlights (non CCFL)
Just a few things to mention: Halos - these are not CCFL. This means that during the daytime, you will not be able to see the halos. At night, they provide zero to no light. They are strictly for aesthetics. I knew this, and still like them. They gave my truck a whole new look. Projector (low beam) - keep in mind that the low beam light is a halogen. The projectors are great! Provide adequate light and the distance is quite impressive. However, I chose to replace the low beam with a simple LED and the difference is SPECTACULAR. I feel like I can see for miles with the LED replacement. Keep in mind, if you replace the halogen for low beam (9006) you also void the warranty, complete at your own risk. FYI - the directions for wiring are non existent. It took me an hour or two of youtubing ... Just a few things to mention: Halos - these are not CCFL. A Facelift for my 4Runner!
Great fit & great price. Bought these to replace the original cloudy headlights on my 2004 4Runner, and in addition to getting rid of the "old vehicle cloudy eye" look, the black background in the housing completely updates the look of the front of the vehicle. I have gotten lots of compliments on an otherwise stock 16 year old Runner since changing the headlights. My hope is that they are durable and last for years to come, but even if not the price is so good I'll just get another set!Great fit & great price.
