Highly satisfied with the overall service provided, although upon opening of the jewel case the disc dropped out due to broken sprocket teeth! I can only assume that this occurred during transit somehow? A crack on the front door of the case was mentioned in the item description. Competitively well-priced, the item arrived promptly & both disc & sleeve met exactly with the description given! I'd be happy to shop here again & based on this purchase can positively recommend using this seller!

Hey Eugene - Pink Martini
China Forbes and the ensemble sizzle their way through a variety of lyrics written in numerous languages. The professionalism of the band is breathtaking. This is an easy listening album that never ceases to surprise and delight no matter how often you hear it. It's equally appropriate to listen to it closely on your own or to use it to provide stimulating background mood music, although the later is perhaps almost unforgivable given the talent of the band. Whatever the circumstances,the CD guarantees to lift the spirits. Perhaps one of the greatest strengths of the band is their sheer versatility. If you're looking for a CD to set a particulr mood, then this one's not for you as the tempo changes as frequently as the language. The opening track 'Everywhere' written by vocalist China ... Lauderdale has a distinctly timeless feel to it but if pushed to place it in a particular era you'd probably plump for the 1940s It's a beautifully rendered ballad that's just the kind of song you believe you must have heard before a million times. In direct contrast to the tempo of this track, the second offering, 'Tempo Perdito' is latin in feel and evokes salsa and carnival. Just the sort of track that defies you to stay in your seat!

Pink Martini originates from Portland, Oregon and Hey Eugene is their third album. If you're looking for versatility, wit, different sounds for different moods incorporation the widest range of rhythmns and styles - Pink Martini's "Hey Eugene" is the album for you! Amongst songs in English and French you can listen to Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish songs beautifully performed by the brilliant musicians and vocal artists of Pink Martini, my personal favourite being China Forbes. "BUKRA WBA'DO" seriously gets you in a hipmoving, bellydancing mood, "CANTE E DANCE" makes you feel like being on a beach in Brazil at 6am in the morning and "TEA FOR TWO" Just puts a cheesy smile on your face to mention just a few. For anyone with an ear for clever, sophisticated music with a dance beat at its score, Pink Martini will hit the spot. Whether tackling Latin, Middle Eastern or European sources, this large outfit offers great musicianship, precise arrangements and a sense of fun too. Chyna Forbes's cool but heartfelt vocals justify her position as the frontperson of the band.
