The original STARSHIP TROOPERS and two of its sequels, a triple whammy of Bug horde destruction.<BR>STARSHIP TROOPERS is set some time in the future, where a group of friends joins Earth's military forces after high school graduation to battle the insectoid Klendathu. One fights for the chance to be a renowned pilot (Denise Richards), one for revenge (Casper Van Dien), and one for the love of a good man (Dina Meyer), but interpersonal relationships take a backseat to the firepower leveled against (and returned from) the chitinous aliens. Paul Verhoeven's subversively humorous and thrilling sci-fi film is adapted from the classic science fiction novel by Robert A. Heinlein.<BR>In STARSHIP TROOPERS 2 - HERO OF THE FEDERATION, the alien Bug horde is still the number one enemy. This time, directed by Phil Tippett, the visual effects wizard from the original movie (and also STAR WARS and INDIANA JONES), HERO OF THE FEDERATION sees the mobile infantry unit of the Federation, isolated light years away from reinforcements. They must seek the help of a Federation traitor if they are to have any hope of saving themselves and the human race.<BR>In STRASHIP TROOPERS - MARAUDER, Casper Van Dien, star of Paul Verhoeven's original theatrical hit STARSHIP TROOPERS, returns after over a decade for this second sequel to the alien-bug-battling, action-packed splatter-fest satire. After the celebrated Johnny Rico (Van Dien), now a colonel, attempts to defend the planet Roku San from some nasty arachnids, he finds himself put on death row for acting inappropriately during battle. But when a Federation starship piloted by tough soldier babe Lola Beck (Jolene Blalock, ENTERPRISE) crashes on a far-away alien planet, only the bug-squashing Rico can save the day, and so the authorities have no choice but to release him for the mission. Armed with an impossibly advanced weapon known as the Marauder, Rico and his crew are prepared to exterminate by any means necessary. MARAUDER, written and directed by Edward Neumeier (co-scribe of ROBOCOP and the original STARSHIP TROOPERS), is a return to satirical form for the Starship series.

    Communication with the seller was good. Delivery was efficient, and the costs for the DVD box set were reasonable. The listing description was accurate. The cardboard box cover is in good condition for a used set, and the individual DVD cases and discs themselves are all in good condition. Seasons 1 & 2 have been watched. They loaded, then played without issue. I hope the rest are equally as good. I would have no problem purchasing from this seller again in the future. 10/10 in every respect.

    A trilogy of war-mongering at it's finest.

    These three movies in the Starship Trooper range, are filled to the brim with special effects, explosions and CGI. The acting is, on the whole, well managed, with believable dialogue and character development. The scenes are well dressed throughout though it was abundantly clear these were filmed in the continental US. Will you enjoy these films? Most probably. Will you know what you're getting? Most definitely. Would I recommend this box-set? Yes. Most assuredly, yes!

    Great first movie, average trilogy.

    The first one is great. The second one is pretty bad. The third one is a improvement from the second. You get some cool extra stuff in the collection. That's some collection cards. Kind of cool. If you are a collector this is a pretty good.

    Starship troopers

    I love watching the first one it bring to life if u were on planet would you joint up. Then I finished it my answer was a YES. I loved the third one where you find out how they got to there careers and how far they have to go. Also I loved the wedding in the end of the 3rd one it made my cry. I wished I was right there.
