The touchscreen on my Samsung Impression crapped out on me so I was in desperate need of a cheap but good phone immediately. I am also a text fiend so having a QWERTY was beneficial. The Pantech Link had pretty good reviews and I found one for $35 on Ebay so I did not hesitate to purchase it. Pros: - The one thing that stood out for me was the QWERTY keyboard because the keys protrude out for a better feel for them This is especially bonus for me because I have thick fingers. - I think the internet browser is easier, faster, and more tolerable than my Impression ever was. - The Link uses thread conversation texting where you can select and read past text from a recent conversation Cons: - Keys on the QWERTY feel cheap; like they could break off if pushed down on them just enough. - Has a PC Suite, but since having the phone for a couple months, haven't been able to connect my phone to it. I really need the calendar feature so I can sync my Outlook calendar with my phone's calendar. (found out that the PC Suite isn't compatible with Windows 7 which the OS used at my job). - You cannot select multiple text conversations at a time to delete, and when your text conversation is full, it will not notify you until you've completed a text to send off (will not allow you to save that text so you pretty much typed it out for nothing which is frustrating when you're having a fluid conversation with someone) - Can't get to your text conversations instantly unless you receive a new text. -Vollständige Rezension lesen
the pantech link is a great messaging phone to have, functions almost like a smart phone. texting is great and fast...nice soft keys, your hand just glides across. it also comes equipped with a cool music player basic listening needs...has a good battery life as well. I don't like the fact that you can't lock the applications on the phone, I think that the security features could be improved. the phone is also really light, small and compact...weighs very little and fits perfectly in your hands. really user friendly...one down side is that its difficult to find a usb chord for this device that can actually transfer data to and from your phone to computer which sucks especially if you like to use your phone for alot more...on the upside the bluetooth is great for transferring data if you have patience. The phone is overall great and the camera and camcorder function excellent for basic needs... I LOVE THIS PHONE :)Vollständige Rezension lesen
The Link is a great messaging phone. Other than that, it's pretty plain. But if you can get it cheap, it is worth it. It's very attractive, and extremely thin. The buttons are a little smaller than blackberry buttons, but they are very raised, which makes up for it and allows you to feel where you are on the keyboard. Call quality if fine both for the caller and receiver. The built in browser is OK, but on pretty much all my phones I install either BOLT or Opera mini. Those browsers really make internet usable on these feature phones. Like I said before, if you can get it cheap it makes a great upgrade from an older messaging phone or if your looking for a Blackberry style phone without the smart phone price.
this is a great qwerty phone for texting and messaging. while it was primarily marketed for the go-phone market, it will accept account sim-cards from at&t and t-mobile (familiarize yourself with dangers of locking a phone with an improper sim installation first, however, when switching between carriers). a good value because the phone lasts without significant data issues, and as a recently discontinued model it is widely available and can often be found at clearance prices for calls, the speaker and receiver are barely adequate, but the phone has a mid-level camera appropriate for everyday use and supports micro-sd chip storage and has usb connection option if you can figure out pantech's driver issues, they offer minimal support for this model. charger fits several other concurrent pantech phones, it is a proprietary connection. batteries wear quickly.Vollständige Rezension lesen

There are some minor problems with it but if there wasnt everyone would proly have the perfect phone eh? -The texting is amazing i dont use internet on it cause i dont need it. -the calling is good decent call volume and noone has had trouble hearing me on there phones yet. -THE MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS PHONE IS THE BATTERY LIFE: GOOD LOVING GOD THE BATTERY HAS TO BE CHARGED EVERY SINGLE DAY OR IT WILL ALMOST DIE OVERNIGHT!!!! - THE HUGE ++++ OF THIS PHONE: the phone is litteraly indestructable. i have droped it kicked it got it wet and it still works like bran new!!!
