Definitely a good book to have on hand.
This is a great book for any person who wishes to create a cake that is cute and fairly quick to put together. The DVD makes it so nice to watch her in action and to understand every step. You can open this book, watch the DVD, and be absolutely able to create a wonderful cake in a reasonable amount of time, with things you can find at the local store(s). My 8 year old granddaughter and I made the "purse cake" and had a blast doing it together. Jill Foster does a wonderful job of making it a real possibility for the average person to make a great cake for just about any occasion. This book is perfect for beginners, as well as being a reference/idea source for those with some decorating experience. I am very pleased I purchased this book and highly recommend it.This is a great book for any person who wishes to create a cake that is cute and fairly quick to put together. Anyone CAN make and DECORATE using this book and CD
This is a good book to have and it comes with a CD. I never realized what you can do with the letter e o u y j and many more letters. You can learn easy ways to decorate a cake. I've shared this with my daughter who also likes the book. Comes with recipes and pictures but the CD is very helpful in showing her techniques in decorating. Her cakes are very easy to make, as I was watching it I thought, "why didn't I think of that." It's a good beginner book to have, it'll teach you a lot. Creative Cakes
This book is loaded with ideas, but if you are short on time or need semi-homemade then don't bother. I borrowed this book from a friend to see if I wanted my own copy and even though the photos are super and make you want to dig right in, I felt it was a little more time-consuming then what I wanted. This isn't saying it isn't a great book for those that have the time, it is! But most of us will not be using this everytime we want to whip up a cake. If you enjoy being creative but are not on the pro level, then go for it. Book & DVD! FULL of Creative Ideas YOU can MAKE!
I am amazed how easy the cakes are to make. The author, Jill Foster makes decorating cakes quick and simple for busy people like me. I was able to learn with the DVD in my home, bought all the supplies at my local Wal-Mart and then made a cake for my daughters birthday. Everyone couldn't believe I made it. I will be decorating all my cakes with Jill's help in the futue. Thanks for the book!

Quick and fun cakes!
This is an excellent book for someone who wants to start making easy, fun and simple decorative cakes. Great ideas to do with or for children. It includes a helpful DVD. Anyone can really make these cakes. It is not a book for those who are interested in advanced or more complex cake decorating.
