These require an EQ and Amp to take advantage of ...with that, these are like listening to Players a few feet away...dimensional, immersible and a real pleasure to listen to. The Ear Buds are proprietary, expensive to replace and easy to break. My case that arrived was a bit aged and the portion you wrap the Cord and insert the Buds into was not adhered and I will need to apply adhesive to it to fit it between the Leather Fold to be able to use out and about...no big deal. The Price I Paid was a fraction of what these are Marketed for and an excellent deal. I also own UE Super Fi 10's and I believe for most music I prefer these for the Clarity and Nuances between the separate instruments. I hear separation and instrumentation in the mix I was unaware of with other Earphones. Attention is required while placing the different Earpieces on and off or damage can result. They come with several sizes and some are elliptical. If you break your favored size or shape it will be $50.00 to replace it. I am not aware of any other type of ear piece that will work with them. I am damn happy with these Buds and the price I was able to get them for. There is a holograph and sn to verify the are the real deal.Vollständige Rezension lesen

All the ear tips are not very good, none of them fits right on me. so I think I need to buy Comply Foam just like my other IEMs. I own a couple of balanced armature IEMs, a couple of over ear monitor headphones and an audeze lcd2 planar magnetic. From experience, I can say this IE800 sounds good. It's not the perfect earphone out there, but I like how it sounds.

The sound is excellent and makes my listening experience wonderful while working out fast and furious. It is difficult to not feel the equipment when you are moving f&f, but it is extremely comfortable to use. I love my over ear bluetooth wireless headphones combined with my apple equipment, however, to workout f&f it is heavy on my neck and noticeable after a few consecutive days of body stress. They also work excellent and wireless is magnificent, but they can't compare to the ease of use and lack of neck stress during workout sessions. I bought these specifically to replace the ie80's and they do just that. A little lighter, a lot more pop and I'd buy them again.

I hoped it is a step above IE80. It is not. For bass-heavy music I believe IE80 is still the way to go. The main advantage of IE800 is better extension of treble, and somehow more present mids. but at the expense of bass. There's not much extra clarity in the mids. The increase in clarity comes more from the treble. Honestly, for whoever wants maximum clarity, DN-2000 has more to offer. I have DX100, so I believe amplification should not be the issue. I'd say they should be 50% above IE80 in the price range, not 200%.

I would place these as one of the top inear headphones. They have their own sound quality with a leaning toward the highs. They also have good middles and a soft bass. I am not real pleased with the way they fit in the ear, they never seem to feel real secure. I have both the Sennheiser ie800 and the Shure se846. Between the two I would go with the Shure se846's The Shure se846 has a better stage presence and fit in the ear better as well. They also have better volume with iipads and ipod nanos. They are both some of the best on the market.
