Gary Moore beginnt das Album mit drei rockigeren Blues Sücken, ehe er das erste mal seine Guitarre richtig jaulen läßt. Leider für meine Begriffe ein bißchen wenig ( gefällt mir nicht so gut ) weil ich noch andere Stücke von ihm kenne,wo er die Guitarre noch mehr "heulen" läßt.Aber ich habe mir ja die CD gekauft, weil ich auch mal andere Blues Sücke von Gary Moore hören wollte. Und die sind dabei. Sogar ein Instrumentalstück ist bei den "Bonus Tracks" ( daß welche darauf sind, hat mich zusätzlich gefreut ) dabei. An der CD habe ich nichts negatives auszusetzen!
Mit der CD " Still got the Blues " verabschiedet sich der Ire Gary Moore mehr oder weniger von seinem alten mir liebgewonnen Stil des Hard Rock. Er schlägt mit dieser nur in Teilen noch hörbaren CD ein neues Kapitel seiner langen Laufbahn an ! Leider für meiner einer weg vom Rock hin zum Blues ! Aber er kann es natürlich und ist jeden Zweifel erhaben ! Nur ist es eben nichts mehr für Fans der Phasen " Corridors of Power " , " Wild Frontier " oder "After the War" , leider ! Hier wird einiges geboten nur kaum noch Hard Rock ! Auf seiner nächsten Scheibe " After Hours " wird's dann aber nur noch Blues sein , also geniesst diese CD noch ...als Abschied aus der Metal / Hard Rock Szene ! Schade , wäre mehr drin gewesen !
Die ersten vier Noten vom Song "Still Got The Blues" kennt fast jeder. Es war der größte Hit des Bluesgitarristen Gary Moore und er wird es aller Wahrscheinlichkeit auch bleiben. Auch die im Jahr 1990 erschienene CD war sehr erfolgreich, weshalb man jetzt nochmals eine geremasterte (was für ein Wort) CD veröffentlicht hat. Bei einem Blues-Klassiker wie diesem Album kein großes Risiko...
