    Basic Thai by Pimsleur is a Goos Start.

    This is an excellent way to start learning conversational Thai. The CDs will help you avoid a few embarrasing mistakes right away. For example, Men say "Krab" at the end of each sentence while women say "Ka". If a man were to simply parrot back what a woman said when she says "Hello" he would look pretty silly. The CDs teach the basic sentence structure for statement and questions. Very easy to listen to and no book required. Could easily be used in your car CD player to study while driving. Overall grade B+ Very Good.

    Very easy to learn with this method! Very happy with my purchase. Pimsleur is a great way to learn! I just ordered a different language also from Pimsleur. I am fortunate to find this CD system as I am learning so fast!

    Basic Thai not so "basic"

    I thought these cd's would be much more basic. The first 3-4 lessons on cd's 1 and 2 are all about a conversation that you would have if you met someone on a bus and wanted to know if they were Thai or American and if they spoke Thai or English. It doesn't even address the simple greeting of hello until well into the lessons. They left me completely frustrated!
