Welcome back U2
It is very encouraging to see the return of U2 after their weird dance with the techno scene.After all,they are one most melodic rocking bands with something to say. "Beautiful Day"starts the album well.It rocks like U2 should.The Edge and his guitar are up front and intense."Stuck In A Momement"is a great song:Bono always sings from the heart."Elevation"has some techno influence,but it is cool:Adam Clayton drives the big,slinky,sexy bass of this song."Walk On" is another fine example of Bono.The Edge's solo in "Kite" is wonderfully unique. The whole song is good."In A Little While" has great lyrics."Wild Honey" is actually a fun loving love song."Peace On Earth"shows Bono to have the biggest social conscious since John Lennon( a true champion of peace)It is nice to see Bono take up the ... This CD from U2 is unlike any they've recorded. It's one of those cd's that contains upbeat melodies with positive feelings. A far departure from Boy or War or later works. Your girlfriend will absolutely dig it, and get you on the positive side. It's a Beautiful Day and the Monkey song are anthems to our youth and innocence. If you prefer the typical U2 raw edge, then this album is not for you. However, if you seek out a departure from the usual offerings, then you'll definitely enjoy this cd. A must have for my collection.This CD from U2 is unlike any they've recorded. It's one of those cd's that contains upbeat melodies with positive feelings. Good CD for fans of the U2 sound with some of the songs getting radio-play.
Very good CD. I'm not a huge U2 fan, but this CD has enough well-written songs and The Edge guitar sound to make it recommendable. Also went a little more "Rockish" with their sound on this one with some distorted guitars sounds, which I liked. A few of the tracks got some significant radio-play -- a bonus of sorts. If you like U2, you'll like this CD.
