The laptop I installed this in is a Lenovo G510 as storage strictly for audio and some video. The hard drive started to fail, so I replaced the main drive another SSD and installed this drive as additional storage where the optical drive was. You wouldn’t know the laptop was on if weren’t looking at it. I use this laptop for DJing. Serato hasn’t missed a beat. Excellent ssd all the storage I need and allowed me save a few dollars by upgrading and expanding. Great product!!

Easy to install and set up. Comes with install disc. Worked well the first time, and much faster than mechanical drive. It is spendy. Surprised to learn from Best Buy that solid state drives have a typical life (about 10 years) which is shorter than a mechanical drive. Would have thought just the opposite. Oh well, live and learn.

Samsung SSD 850 EVO 2 TB (MZ-75E2T0B/AM) is about as close to plug and pay as it gets. • Samsung includes software to move your files (OS) and tune the SSD for best speed vs performance for your needs. • I needed a "bigger boat" = this was it! • Tip: Plan ahead. • be sure to have a place for this to install. It seems that the small screws needed for mounting are sometimes the hardest thing to find. Mine came with a smaller metal SSD holder, some may not. + • an external SATA dock to hold the SSD [or original hard drive] helps for the change over of data if you are changing out from another hard drive.

After owning a Crucial 1 TB SSD i became a believer in the lightning speed of solid state drives and now I have 4 of them. Samsung is one of the better drives you can get. The Samsung migration tool program clones your drive fast (took me about 40 minutes to clone 250 GB worth of OS + data from the old drive to the new), and it comes with a good warranty (5 years I think). SSD's are as fast as they say, boot times are cut in half, and access to programs and files is as fast as you're going to get with 2017 tech. If you have a state of the art comp, you're not getting the fastest speed out of it, unless you have an SSD. But spending $600 for the 2 TB one isn't for everybody. So if you can get by with the 1 TB drive (for half the price) that might be the best compromise of price and capacity.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Followed some youtube videos on how to replace internal HDD of my macbook pro laptop from 2012 for this 2TB SSD. Can't go wrong with the speeds, space and price! If you plan on doing an upgrade make sure you do some research first on you laptop specs and have the proper tools to install. AND don't forget to backup your existing drive before you perform any type of upgrade just in case you need to revert back.
