Care needs to be taken when operating this piece of gear. Take care when locating the eyelet. I was using the hole maker for holiday labels. The eyelet needs to be placed on the anvil first, then place the label on top of the eyelet, taking care to locate it exactly where you want the eyelet to end up. Now this is hard part, which doesn't always work. Press the two handles of the hole maker together. I had varying degrees of success, because the amount of pressure required varied greatly from eyelet to eyelet. Also often the eyelet became twisted and distorted. It was cheap, but it still should have functioned as intended.

REALLY REALLY bad quality. Very thin metal is constructed of. Bent in my hands first time I used it. So poor I'd give it zero stars if I could. You'd be better off trying to use the power of thought to try and place the eyelets in.

Not the best buy. Unfortunately, the pliers are not fit for purpose as they don't actually fold the eyelet over or cut through a hole. This is definitely a no no.

Don't expect it to make the holes or crimp the eyelets either.
